Vasto

Okay all sync'd up.  Wanted to share some photos of our lovely town.  No tourists here.  We are managing with our broken Italian.  Finally got a "latte" this morning, versus a cappuccino with a dash of warm milk.  Getting rid of the jet lag too, was only up at 4am for about an hour.  The town has about 30,000 people which grows to 120,000 during the month of August when all the Italians and Germans come to visit.  They are celebrating their sister city of Perth (who knows why Perth).  The weather has been perfect in the 70s, only slightly humid, they seem to think that's still cold.  Women are in jeans and boots (still) although Tony says I've done this at home too.

I love that the town has these lovely street lights everywhere.  The picture of the Mother Mary is on our street corner to the apt and guides us home each night.  Enjoy, Ciao for now...

  1. Wow, gorgeous ... but let's get to the important stuff. FOOD. How is it? What are you eating? Is there pasta? Delicious wine? CHEESE?
